Tim McGraw has announced that his new album ‘Two Lanes Of Freedom’ will be released February 5th. He’ll preview the first single on the ‘Ellen DeGeneres Show’ today (10/30).
Tim announced today on his website that his new album, and first for his new record label Big Machine Records, will be released February 5, 2013. The project will be called ‘Two Lanes Of Freedom.’ Tim says that he always makes the best album he can each time he’s in the studio recording. This project apparently had something special going on for Tim and a word in the title seems to express that for him.
“'Freedom' is a powerful word,” Tim said, continuing: “To come into a situation where there's some weight lifted, some refreshment going on, you can feel that in the music. I think you can feel the horses gallop on this record, and where I might go and what I might do when my engines are revving.”
Fans will get the first chance at a preview of the album’s first single ‘One Of Those Nights’ when Tim appears on ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’ today at 3 p.m. central time here in central Illinois. Tim says of the songs on the album and first single: “I feel like we really found some great songs for this record, and 'One Of Those Nights' perfectly sets the tone for the project. It's about reflecting on old times with a sense of nostalgia, but it's also about creating new memories and living in the moment and looking towards the future. I am doing that in my own life and career now, and I can't wait for my fans to hear the single and album. It's an unbelievably exciting time for me!”
Tim will make the national television debut of the new single ‘One Of Those Nights’ Thursday night (11/1) on the 46th Annual CMA Awards Show live on ABC TV.
