It's moments like this during the busy holiday season that truly reminds us of the true meaning! Operation Santa has been helping troops for many years in the Bloomington-Normal area and beyond. The holidays can be especially lonely and depressing for our troops. For many it is their first time away from home. That is where Operation Santa comes in. It's a chance for those of us in the Community to give back to our troops and help them experience the joy of the holidays and our gratitude for all they do. Operation Santa this year was another huge success! Check out the photos of our service men and women enjoying their stockings this year!

On behalf of the Purple Foxes, please accept our sincerest thank you for your kindness and generosity this holiday season. We received a large shipment of your stockings last week, and we lined up all of our Marines and handed them out with joy. They were very much welcomed and appreciated by all. Attached are a few pictures of our Marines enjoying your gifts. How I don’t know, but a few of our guys were even able to find some festive clothing befitting the occasion. Please also pass our thank you along to the rest of Operation Santa and know that your actions and support exemplify the American spirit and give us the motivation to do what we do.
