This weekend was the Polar Plunge for Special Olympics at Miller Park Lake with B104. This year was a HUGE success for Special Olympics and the LARGEST Polar Plunge in history for Bloomington-Normal with a record 750 plungers. In fact, it was soo successful it was the #1 plunge in the entire state of Illinois, and they had to hold two plunges because of all the insane people raising money for Special Olympics of Illinois!

We all kept our promises for donations...Buck wore a bikini, JD taped my name to his butt and Grossos Garage to his chest, and I was there as a towel holder (just in case Buck lost part of his bikini in the water and we had to give him a quick cover up.)

It was an amazing day with everyone from Radio Bloomington, hanging out for Special Olympics, joking about how JD may need his inhaler after the cold jump, and hoping that everytime they mentioned the water temp it would magically be 67 degrees (it was actually 34 by the time JD and Buck jumped.)

Although I didn't jump this year, everyone who did plunge said they would definitely do it again, so sign me up for Polar Plunge 2014!
