Kacey Musgraves has been making her name known in the past year as a great new country music singer-song. Watch this video and get to know Kacey.
Kacey is an East Texas small town girl with a gift for song writing and singing. Her debut single “Merry Go ‘Round” has been climbing the country singles charts and is at #11 on the Billboard Country Airplay chart and #10 on the Mediabase/Country Aircheck chart.
In the video below, Kacey tells us about her life growing up in East Texas as well as sharing some home video clips showing her singing as a young girl. She got her first guitar at age 12 which she says is when her guitar teacher started encouraging her to write songs.
That encouragement has paid off for Kacey. Not only has she written songs for her own album but for other country singers as well. For example, Kasey co-wrote Miranda Lambert’s current hit “Mama’s Broken Heart” with Brandy Clark and Shane McAnally. In the video below, Kacey talks about what she looks for in songs.
Kacey also talks about the process of making her first album. The album will be called "Same Trailer Different Park" and will be released March 19th at stores and digital outlets everywhere.
