Blake Shelton's new co-host for the Academy of Country Music (ACM) Awards show has been revealed. Luke Bryan will join Blake April 7th!
The Academy began a Twitter campaign last week to "unlock" the new co-host that would replace Reba as Blake's co-host for this year's ACM Awards show. Fans had to reach 25,000 tweets on Twitter in order for the ACM to reveal the name and show date.
Just a little while ago, that mark was reached and the ACM posted a video on YouTube that not only revealed that Luke Bryan would be the co-host on April 7th; it also indicates that this pair as co-hosts could end up being more than the ACM has bargained for. Watch what Luke had to say about joining Blake for co-hosting duties on the ACM Awards show below.
We will get to see Luke prior to his ACM Awards show co-hosting job when he brings his 'Dirt Road Diaries Tour' to Bloomington for two sold out shows in February.
Both Blake and Luke are known for being a bit wild with their jokes and antics. That could lead one intersting show when the 48th ACM Awards show airs on CBS TV Sunday, April 7th starting at 7 p.m. central time live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. Let's hope so anyway.
