Fleetwood Mac was one of the most iconic bands of the 70’s. Their most popular album “Rumours” has sold over 40 million copies worldwide since its release in 1977. Key member Stevie Nicks left the group in 1981 to pursue a successful solo career and has been off and on with Fleetwood Mac since. But she’ll soon join a band that has seen a vast amount of success in country music over the last few years, Lady Antebellum. Of course it will only be for one night during another episode of CMT’s “Crossroads.”
No date has been given for the episode yet as it’s unsure if they will record it before Lady Antebellum’s Hillary Scott gives birth to her first child, due in July, or after.
Another member of Fleetwood Mac, Lyndsey Buckingham, teamed up with Little Big Town in 2006 for “Crossroads” and produced a rather enjoyable episode with the classic Fleetwood Mac songs meshing very well with Little Big Town’s ability to harmonize.
It should be another must see event when Lady A and Stevie Nicks take the stage to perform songs from their respective music careers. CMT says it will air sometime later this year.
