Country Weekly reports that when asked who his favorite singer on season four of “The Voice” is, Charles said: “Whoever that blond girl is.” His band mate Hillary Scott pointed out that he was referring to sixteen-year-old Danielle Bradbery from Blake Shelton’s team.
You can tell Charles is choosing based on his actual opinion of the talent by the hopefuls on “The Voice” and not loyalty. You see, Hillary is the advisor/mentor for Adam Levine’s team this season through the Battle Rounds. While Blake is a country singer, Hillary is a part of Lady Antebellum with Charles and Dave Haywood. If it was loyalty that guided his decision, one would think that Charles would have picked one of Team Adam’s members.
Charles complemented Danielle by saying: “I’m putting a million dollars in Vegas on her … She is going to be a star.” When asked directly if he thought Danielle would be the winner on “The Voice” season four, Charles responded: “I don’t know if she's gonna win, but she's going to be a star.”
You can watch Danielle’s battle with Caroline Glaser from the first week of battles on “The Voice” below. Congratulations to Danielle for gaining a famous fan in Charles from Lady Antebellum.
The Battle Rounds continue tonight on "The Voice" starting at 7 p.m. central time on NBC.
Congratulations are in order for Charles, Hillary and Dave as well. Lady Antebellum’s latest single “Downtown” became their seventh number one single last week and holds the #1 spot for a second week according to the Billboard Country Singles Airplay advance charts.
