This week Keith urban is using time between 'American Idol' auditions to get some studio work done on his new album.

As a new jusge on 'American Idol' Keith has been busy listening to hopeful contestants sing for him and the other three jusges. He has also had to avoid being caught in the crossfire between fellow judges Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj. Keith has been becomeing friends with host Ryan Seacrest out on the road with 'American Idol.'

This week he is taking time away from all of that to work on his new album. Keith posted a picture on his verified Twitter account of himself in the studio. The picture above was accompanied with the message from Keith: "Workin' in the studio this week...the vibe is KILLER!!!"
