Jason Aldean ended his day Thursday (10/19) of jetting around announcing 2013 stadium concerts when he surprised students at the University of Georgia (UGA) with the final concert announcement.
The students at UGA thought they were attending a pep rally for their beloved Bulldogs. When the curtain on the stage dropped they were treated to the appearance of fellow Bulldog fan Jason Aldean ready to make his final 2013 concert announcement.
Earlier in the day Jason revealed his 2013 concert dates for Fenway Park in Boston (7/13) and Wrigley Field in Chicago (7/20). With the trip to his home state, Jason revealed that he would start his ‘Night Train Stadium Tour’ at UGA’s Sanford Stadium April 13th of next year. Joining Jason for the concert at UGA will be his friend and fellow Georgian Luke Bryan as well as Jake Owen and Thomas Rhett.
Jason told Country Weekly he is excited about the challenge of transforming his stage show to fit the larger stadium venues. “Over the years, we’ve been able to transform our shows to wherever we were playing, whether it be a club or theaters or amphitheaters or festivals. We’ve always been able to adjust. This will be a big jump for us, as far as production and staging. But I’m excited about that. It gives me a challenge,” he said, adding: “The thing I never want to do is get comfortable, on stage or with our show. This gives me a reason to have to think about things a little bit and figure out different ways to entertain and reach the people that are going to be all around us.”
Jason not only made the concert announcement at UGA, he also performed some songs from his ‘My Kinda Party’ album and the first single ‘Take A Little Ride’ from his just released ‘Night Train’ album.
