Jake Owen is selling out his ‘CMT On Tour Jake Owen: The Summer Never Ends’ 2012 tour and making history in the process.

Country Weekly reports that Jake and his special guests Love And Theft and Florida Georgia Line kicked off the tour with a sold out show in New York City. Jake and his tour mates then matched the NYC concert sell out in Detroit.

The sell outs keep coming as the Jake Owen concert dates in Charlotte, Chicago, Des Moines, Iowa, Minneapolis, Milwaukee and St. Louis have already sold out in advance of the dates. That sets a record for the most consecutive sell outs for the CMT Tour since it began in 2001. That includes CMT Tours that included and helped launch the careers of stars like Jason Aldean, Miranda Lambert, Luke Bryan and more.

Jake said of being on the CMT Tour as an opener for Sugarland and Little Big Town and now as a headliner: “It was one of the first tours I was on. You always want to work your way up and build your career where you can have your name on the ticket. Fortunately, I got asked to do this CMT tour. It's something I have dreamed about since my college days of playing the bars down in Florida.”

Personally, I love Jake’s music and can’t wait until I get the chance to see him in concert. Congratulations on the success of the tour Jake and keep on rocking those crowds!
