Last Saturday we saw a great comeback win by our Illinois State Redbirds. We were down quite a bit at the half and the young men heard the rally cry. Quarterback Matt Brown was rewarded with honors this week for his part in the comeback win.

The league office on Sunday rewarded Illinois State Quaterback Matt Brown with Missouri Valley Football Conference Offensive Player of the Week honors. Matt scored the game winning touchdown which capped off a 21 point comeback win over Youngstown State who were ranked 8th in the FCS polls. The Redbirds won 35 to 28.

Congratulations Matt and the Redbirds on a great effort. This is the third time in Matt Brown's great Redbirds career he has been awarded these honors. This Saturday the Redbirds are home again to play Missouri State.
