Gary Allan's "Set You Free" may be his ninth studio album, but it is also his first. It is his first #1 Billboard 200 album that is.

"Set You Free" marks the third time that Gary has sat at the top of the Billboard country album sales chart. However, for the first time in his storied career the California native has hit the top spot on the Billboard 200 all-genre chart. Gary's latest project was released last week (1/22) and sold more than 106,000 copies in its debut week according to Nielsen SoundScan.

The last week has been a very good one for Gary as the first single from the new album, "Every Storm (Runs Out Of Rain)," became his fifth #1 song on this week's Billboard and Mediabase/Country Aircheck country singles charts as well. Oh, and the song has also been certified gold by the RIAA.

"It has been a long while, but it feels really good," Gary says. "I would especially like to thank all of my fans and everyone at radio. I would also like to thank everyone on my team who has helped to get me to this point.  This is a great feeling!"
