Denny and Joey Logano were racing for the win on the last lap at Auto Club Speedway Sunday afternoon when the two cars got together on the track. The result was Joey's car hitting the outside wall and Denny's car spinning down and impacting the inside wall very violently.
Denny climbed from the wrecked car himself then collapsed on the track. He was airlifted to a local hospital to be checked out. Reports are now that Denny has a L1 compression fracture. Denny posted the picture on the right on his verified Twitter account with the message: "All good."
However, we really don't know if all will be 100% good for the NASCAR Sprint Cup driver. While it does appear that he will recover from his injuries, how quickly is the question. There has been no official word on whether or not Denny will be able to return to the track when the Sprint Cup series returns to racing at Martinsville Speedway April 7th.
The week that NASCAR is taking off this week is good for Denny. It may not be enough time for a recovery to return to racing as some are saying he will need back surgery.

We all hope that Denny has a 100% recovery and can return to racing as quickly as possible.
