Here we go again. Tim McGraw is being sued by his former record label for breach of contract. Curb Records as filed suit for copyright infringement. Although a state court ruled that Tim could record with new label Big Machine while the battle with Curb played out, Curb is now saying that the songs on his album ‘Two Lanes of Freedom’ were recorded when Tim was technically still with Curb, and therefore are the property of Curb.
Curb also claims Tim McGraw owes the label yet another greatest hits album and thus, actually, owes the label two albums. I don’t expect Tim to take this lying down and I’m sure he wonders when this will go away. This will get settled eventually and then Tim will be out walking his dog and pass by Curb Records building and they’ll sue him for trespassing STAY TUNED!!!!
This means Curb Records would want the royalties to his new smash 'Highway Don't Care' watch as Tim McGraw performs it live at the ACM Awards last month on CBS.
