BLOOMINGTON - The 525 stations of WJBC's parent company, Cumulus Radio raised $3.7 million in Wednesday's Healing in the Heartland special to benefit the victims of the Oklahoma tornado.
The total isn't official yet as the donations are still being counted. Donations are also still being taken to benefit the United Way of Central Oklahoma.
All 84 Cumulus Country stations, including B104, aired a one-hour fundraising special hosted by Kix Brooks live from backstage at Healing in the Heartland. The concered featured Blake Shelton, Miranda Lambert, Reba McEntire and more.
The community of Moore, Okla. was destroyed by a tornado last week. 24 people were killed including 10 children.
