Country music star Craig Morgan sprang into action when he came upon a big-rig crash on the highway in his tour bus to help put out the fire and rescue the drivers.
Country Weekly reports that Craig and his band were travelling back to Nashville after playing a concert in Texas Sunday morning (6/9). Two semi trailer trucks collided in front of the tour bus resulting in a serious accident with the tanker truck catching fire.
Craig and his crew (including Jerry Hines who provided the pictures to WKRN TV for the video report below) jumped off the bus to help out. You can see Craig with a fire extinguisher in hand as the country musicians helped put out the fire and then helped get the drivers to safety. Craig was an EMT prior to becoming a singer and also is a former military man with training from both to act in situations like this.
Amazingly, the drivers involved escaped the accident with just minor injuries thanks in part to Craig and his crew.
This is not the first time that Craig has put his life in peril to help out others. You may recall that he ran into a burning house near where he lives in Tennessee to rescue some children in February of 2011.
I would like to say: "Great Job" and "Thanks" to Craig Morgan and his crew for helping out in this dangerous situation. You are all real life heroes in my book!
