“The Voice” season three winner Cassadee Pope will be heading out on the Rascal Flatts “Changed” Tour 2013 this summer.
Cassadee started “The Voice” as a pop singer, but with the guidance of coach and mentor Blake Shelton she embraced country music during her journey on the TV singing competition. What could arguably be the eventual winner’s biggest moment on the show, Cassadee performed the song that Blake and his wife Miranda Lambert wrote “Over You.” Just like Miranda, Cassadee had a hit with the song as her version quickly hit the #1 spot on the iTunes charts.
Cassadee posted on her Twitter account the news that she would be joining the Rascal Flatts tour this summer tweeting: “Incredibly excited to announce I will be supporting the Rascal Flatts tour this summer. I'll be playing right before The Band Perry. Yay!” An exact date of when Cassadee will start performing on the tour was not given. Cassadee joining Rascal Flatts on the road makes good business sense. Her new label is part of the same label group as Rascall Flatts' record label Big Machine Records.
So what has the season three winner of “The Voice” been doing since the shop wrapped last fall? She has not been resting on her laurels. She has been spending her time in Nashville signing a record deal with the Big Machine record Group’s Republic Nashville. She has also been working on her first album for Republic Nashville. However, no release date has been set for the project.
She has taken the time to post some videos on YouTube to let fans know what she is up to and thank them for their continued support. Watch two of the video updates from Cassadee Pope below.
I can’t wait to see Cassadee on tour and hear her first project when it comes out.
