Let the fun begin! This year’s annual Special Olympics Illinois Taste of Something Special will be from 6-8:30 p.m., November 4, at The DoubleTree Hotel, 10 Brickyard Dr., Bloomington, IL 61701.

Don’t miss your opportunity to be part of this exciting evening. Tickets are now available for $30 per person in advance and $40 at the door. Ticket price includes 5 drink sample tickets, hors d’oeuvre’s, desserts, and a take home Special Olympics wine glass. A cash bar is available and live entertainment will provide a festive ambiance.

During the evening you can begin your holiday shopping in grand fashion by bidding on many beautiful gifts available in the silent auction. All proceeds from the Taste of Something Special directly benefit Special Olympics Illinois Heartland/ Area 6.

Heartland / Area 6 supports over 1,000 athletes from the Counties of DeWitt, Livingston, Mason, McLean, Peoria, Tazewell, and Woodford. In 2015, Special Olympics budgeted $181,843 to enable athletes to compete in the 14 sports activities and six competitions it hosts in Heartland/ Area 6.
