Autism Fund-raiser – Spider Saloff returns

From Gershwin to Cole Porter, a renowned interpreter of the Great American Songbook, Spider Saloff, will appear at Heartland Community College’s Astroth Auditorium at 7:30 p.m. on April 27. The event is a unique fundraiser for Autism McLean. Doors open at 6 p.m. for pre-show snacks and drinks.

Saloff is famed for her jazz stylings that have captivated audiences from New York to Chicago clubs, plus international appearances in London, St. Petersburg and Poland. She has appeared at New York’s Lincoln Center, the Smithsonian Institution, Ravina Music Festival and Chicago’s Auditorium Theater. In New York she performs at Birdland and Feinstein’s, in Chicago at the Green Mill and the Jazz Showcase.

All-volunteer Autism McLean is celebrating its 16th year supporting individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder in McLean County. It offers recreational activities, educational grants, family support, summer camps, resource information, and more, while working to increase community awareness and local opportunities for people with autism.

Concert sponsorships enable all proceeds from ticket sales to benefit Autism McLean. Light snacks are catered by Baxter’s American Grill and a complimentary drink is included with each ticket
