The second night of the Battle Rounds aired last night (10/15) on The Voice. Who did Blake Shelton pair together and who did he keep on Team Blake?

The one-hour episode only had time for a small handful of battle performances. The show again used the montage style clip that I am not a fan of. I understand it allows them to present more results faster. However, I feel like the viewers deserve to see the entire performance in order to agree with or disagree with the choice of the coaches.

Regardless of my feelings for the condensed video clips it was this style that revealed Blake Shelton paired 21-year-old EllieMae with 28-year-old Cali Wilson. The two ladies performed “Miss Me More” by Kelsea Ballerini.

Blake chose to keep Cali on his team.

John Legend paired Destiny Rayne with Katie Kadan for a Team Legend Battle Rounds performance of Elton John‘s “Tiny Dancer.” When the battle was over, John chose to keep Katie on his team making Destiny available to “Steal.” Blake pressed his button to do just that, but so did his girlfriend Gwen Stefani.

Destiny chose Gwen as her new coach so Blake still has his “Steal” available for this round.

Season 17 of The Voice continues with more Battle Rounds performances Monday, October 21st at 7 PM central time (8 PM eastern time) on NBC.
