Joey Logano Dominates in NASCAR Michigan Win [VIDEO]

Joey Logano dominated in the rain-delayed FireKeepers Casino 400 NASCAR race Monday (6/10) at Michigan International Speedway.

Sunday, June 9th Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series officials tried to get the race started. However, rain won the day forcing the decision to postpone the race for a day.

Joey Logano started from the pole. From the drop of the green flag showed the rest of the drivers that they would have to beat him to win the race. Joey was one of 11 drivers that exchanged the lead 20 times during the race. Nobody else was out front even close to the amount of time that the #22 Ford was. Joey led a race high 163 laps in the race that was scheduled to run 200 laps (400 miles).

Joey was the winner of stage one of the race. Austin Dillon was able to claim the win in stage two.

The seventh and final caution was issued with just three laps remaining in the race. That put the competition in a NASCAR overtime of a green-white-checkered finish.

Joey was able to race back out to the lead after the re-start and hold off the competition to claim his second win of the season. Kurt Busch finished the race second with Martin Truex Jr. claiming third place. Daniel Suarez finished in fourth place with Kyle Busch rounding out the top five. The win pushes Joey Logano up a spot in the point standings to become the leader. Kyle Busch slips back to second place. Brand Keselowski and Kevin Harvick both move up a spot to third and fourth places respectively. Chase Elliott falls two spots to fifth place in. NASCAR will take Father’s Day of this weekend. The teams and drivers will be road racing next in the Toyota/Save Mart 350 at Sonoma Raceway Sunday, June 23rd.
