No matter what you may think is or isn’t wrong in our state, at least we have the cheapest beer in Illinois!

You can complain about bad roads, high taxes and the like. However, the cost of beer in Illinois should not be on your list of grievances as a resident.

The Chicago Sun Times reports that Illinois has the cheapest beer in the country. They point to the average cost of a case of Bud Light and Miller Lite (the two most popular brands and quantities national purchased). The paper quotes a blog by Simply.Thirfty.Thrive that a 24-pack of these brands of beer will cost an average of $15.20 in the Land of Lincoln.

The cost only goes up from that price as you move around the country to a high average cost of $31.21 in Alaska.
