Country Radio Seminar (CRS) begins today (2/13) in Nashville and Blake Shelton will officially receive the CRS 2019 Artist Humanitarian Award, CRB, Inc.®.

CRS is an annual event put on by the Country Radio Broadcasters (CRB) and held in Nashville. The event is a chance for country radio broadcasters, record industry professionals and country stars get together to discuss country radio, country music and where the industry is heading.

The CRS Artist Humanitarian Award, CRB, Inc.® honors those Country music artists who have exhibited exceptional humanitarian efforts during their career. Past recipients of the award include Dierks Bentley, Keith Urban, Carrie Underwood, Toby Keith, Brad Paisley, Reba, Garth, Willie Nelson, Alabama and many more.

At today’s 50th Anniversary CRS opening day luncheon Blake will be recognized for his humanitarian efforts through his career. Blake’s record label Warner Music Nashville Chairman & CEO John Esposito said, “I’m proud of Blake being recognized as Humanitarian of the Year. Over the years, I’ve watched him give back in so many profound ways. He responded immediately to those in need after the devastating tornadoes in Oklahoma in 2013, holding a benefit that was televised nationwide. He continually gives back to his hometown of Tishomingo, to the children’s hospital in Oklahoma City and so much more. But, it’s what he does on a daily basis that really sticks out to me. He will send us an email about something he’s read and say, ‘I want to do this to help this person.’ And I think Blake has helped more stranded motorists than Triple A – but that’s just his character. He’s a humanitarian every day. Congratulations Blake, you earned it!”

Congratulations to Blake Shelton on this well-deserved recognition and thanks for all you do!
