Country music duo Florida Georgia Line (FGL) has scored their first number one single as a by themselves since 2016 with the song “Simple.”

The advanced Billboard Country Airplay and Mediabase/Country Aircheck singles charts for country radio airplay both show “Simple” as the #1 songs this week. The last time FGL topped the charts with a song that was not a collaboration was in July of 2016 with their song “H.O.L.Y.“.

That’s not to say that Brian Kelley and Tyler Hubbard have not been to the top of the charts since then. They have reached number one with “May We All” with Tim McGraw (2016), “God, Your Mama, and Me” with the Backstreet Boys (2017), “Meant To Be” with Bebe Rexha (2018) and as a part of Morgan Wallen’s chart topper “Up Down” (2018).

Counting all of the collaborations this is the 16th career #1 for FGL. “Simple” is the debut single from a forthcoming new album from Brian and Tyler that should be out in early 2019.

Congratulations to Florida Georgia Line on their number one song “Simple.”
