Could there be a Little Big Town spin-off band called Little Big Kids?

It would appear that Little Big Town‘s children are learning from their parents and have formed their own group they have dubbed “Little Big Kids.”

Kimberly Schlapman and her husband have an 11-year-old daughter named Daisy. Phillip Sweet and his wife also have an 11-year-old daughter who is named Penelopi. Karen Fairchild and Jimi Westbrook have a son named Elijah who is eight years old.

Kimberly shares that the kids have formed this band while traveling with heir parents on tour, but they aren’t quite committed to the idea.

“They kind of go in and out of having a band,” Kimberly shares, “and they just call themselves the Little Big Kids.”

Karen explains that while they may not be 100% committed to the group, they have taken the idea to quite the level of accuracy when they are doing it.

“They made their own tour laminates that said LBK on ’em for Little Big Kids,” Karen states. “They would give the crew tickets to come to their show. And they made the entire crew get on the bus, and they performed. And they had to have their passes and their tickets to get on.”

Kimberly thinks they need a little more work on the behind the scenes part of being a group.

“The problem is, they don’t think they ever have to rehearse,” Kimberly explains, “So when you get to their shows, they really don’t know what they’re doing.”

“It’s more about the grand idea…” Jimi states with Kimberly agreeing, “Yeah, it is”

Little Big Kids may not be ready to be an opening act for Little Big Town yet, but who knows what the future could bring. Perhaps the parents will come with a song they could record as a “bonus track” on an upcoming Little Big Town album.
