Country music duo Dan + Shay have twice the reason to celebrate and both equate to the number one!

The advance Billboard Country Airplay and Mediabase/Country Aircheck singles charts are out and sitting in the #1 position is “Tequila” by Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney (a.k.a. Dan+ Shay).

The song is the debut single from the duo’s self-titled, third studio album. The two singer-songwriters may want to celebrate with a shot of the drink that is the title of the #1 song as the album has also debuted at number one on the Billboard Country Sales chart!

“Tequila” marks the fourth career #1 single for Dan +Shay following “Nothin’ Like You” (2015), “From The Ground Up” (2016) and “How Not To” (2016). The chart topping album becomes their second #1 album as their 2014 debut album Where It All Began also reached the top of the country album sales chart.

Dan + Shay will be spending their summer doing many concerts including be a part of the Rascal Flatts “Back To Us Tour.” This fall they will join Chris Young on the “Losing Sleep World Tour” which makes a stop just down the road at the State Farm Center in Champaign, IL October 27th.
