Blake Shelton has debuted at #1 on the Billboard Country Album sales chart with his new album Texoma Shore and Keslea Ballerini‘s Unapologetically comes in at #2.

Billboard.com reports that Blake’s new album sold 63,000 units in the first week of sales. That gives Texoma Shore enough sales to debut as the top country album in sales for the week. It also gives Blake his fifth #1 album and fourth consecutive number one album.

Blake posted his gratitude to his fans on his Twitter account just a little while ago…

Texoma Shore makes its debut at #4 on the Billboard 200 all-genre chart. Blake’s friend and fellow coach from The Voice Adam Levine debuted a new album with his group Maroon 5 at #2 on the Billboard 200 chart this week. The two made a friendly wager on which album would debut higher … check out the video below…

I guess we will have to watch to see if Blake follows through as the loser of the bet when The Voice goes live for season 13 in the coming weeks.

Kelsea Ballerini released her sophomore album Unapologetically on the same day Blake released his new album. Kelsea’s album sold 44,000 copies the first week of release. That gave her enough to debut at #2 on the Billboard Country Album sales chart.

The tally gives Kelsea her first appearance in the top 10 on the Billboard 200 all-genre chart as Unapologetically debuts at #7 on that chart.

Congratulations to Blake Shelton and Kelsea Ballerini on a big first week for both of their new albums!
