Thank You for Helping 2017 Cop On Top Raise $10,000

The 15th Annual Cop on Top with the Bloomington Police Department reached the goal of $10,000 raised for Special Olympics of Illinois thanks to YOU!

Yesterday (Wednesday, 6/7/17) Sergeant Todd Keil and Sergeant Bill Wright of the Bloomington Police Department climbed up on the roof of Dunkin’ Donuts on East Oakland in Bloomington to raise awareness and money for the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics of Illinois. They were on the roof from 6:00 AM through 6:00 PM. Joining the sergeants were B104 on-air personalities through the day broadcasting live from the roof.

Throughout the 12 hours people stopped by Dunkin’ Donuts to donate to Special Olympics and called the B104 Studios to bid on auction items with the money also going to Special Olympics.

The money is still being counted for a more exact total, but we have been told that once again thanks to the community’s generosity, the yearly goal of raising $10,000 has been reached!

On behalf of the Bloomington Police Department, Sergeant Keil, Sergeant Wright, Special Olympics of Illinois, Dunkin’ Donuts, B104 and all who helped with this annual event, Thank You very much for helping the 2017 15th Annual Bloomington Cop On Top be a complete success!

Don’t forget that the 2017 Law Enforcement Torch Run will culminate with the lighting of the Flame of Hope at the 2017 Special Olympics of Illinois Summer Games Opening Ceremony this Friday evening (6/9) at ISU’s Hancock Stadium. The public is invited to come to the ceremony that will begin between 7:30 PM and 8:00 PM with B104’s Buck Stevens as one of the emcees for the event. Come out for a chance to see the athletes of Special Olympics and what your donations are helping.

And again, Thank You for your resounding support of the 2017 15th Annual Bloomington Cop on Top!
