Why Won’t Chris Young Play his New Single “Losing Sleep” in Concert?

Chris Young has a new single called “Losing Sleep” heading to country radio, but he won’t play it live on stage in concert.

The song is the debut single from what will be his sixth studio album. The album has yet to be titled and we don’t have a release date for it yet. However, “Losing Sleep” is available to download as it is being sent to country radio for airplay.

Chris says he has not played the new song live on stage yet because, “I’m waiting until it hits radio. It just makes it easier.”

This is not his mode of operation for this song, but all of his singles. “I’ve never, at least for several records now, I don’t play stuff early,” Chris explains, “because once you play it then it’s on YouTube, and then people have heard it.”

The reasoning behind this is simple for Chris, “I’d rather people hear it the very first time done completely produced, and how I mean to present it to them, and then we can play it live and do whatever the heck we want to on stage with it.”

We’ll keep an eye out for it in the mail here at B104. Meanwhile, you can listen to “Losing Sleep” by Chris Young via YouTube audio below. It is the fully produced recorded version of the song, the way Chris wants you to hear it for the first time.
