We have found out that the young lady is Micah Clare. She is studying Veterinary Medicine at University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine. Micah is from Wheaton, Illinois but currently calls home Champiagn, Illinois while a student.
Obviously we still don’t know if any coaches press their buttons for Micah, which ones if they do or what team she is on IF she advanced through the Blind Auditions on The Voice. Due to confidentiality contracts with the show she is not allowed to reveal any of that information before the episode she is on airs. We will just have to watch the show and wait to see what happens.
In the latest season 12 preview video for The Voice one of the contestants in the Blind Auditions reveals she either is or was a student at the University of Illinois (U of I) in Champaign–Urbana!
The hit NBC singing competition shared a sneak peek video yesterday (2/22) that focuses on Blake Shelton in the upcoming new season as not only the reigning winning coach, but also the winning-est coach on the show.
The video does show that Blake appears to be on the top of his game with wit and charm for the new season as he interacts with the other coaches and some of the contestants during the Blind Auditions.
What caught my attention even more was when he is interacting with the young lady pictured at the top of the page she said, “I did A Capella at the University of Illinois .. Champaign-Urbana.” Of course Blake had a witty response about the name of the cities.
What we do know is she gets to sing for the coaches during the Blind Auditions since she was a part of this promo video. What we don’t know is: her name, if she gets on the show or what coach she chooses if she does get through the Blind Auditions.

Season 12 of The Voice premieres this Monday, February 27th at 7:00 PM central time (8:00 PM eastern time) on NBC. We will have to watch to see when this girl appears in the Blind Auditions and what happens when she does.
