Blake Shelton is the latest country music singer to get into the alcohol business as he announced his own brand of vodka.

Blake posted the picture above on Twitter today along with the message, “Today’s the day, @SmithworksVodka is officially here! #VodkaCountry #MySmithworksFamily”

The message also included a link to information on Blake’s website that explains that he is part of the “Smithworks Family” that developed this new vodka that is made in America. The vodka is made with corn from Kansas, Missouri and Oklahoma (Blake’s home state) and water from Lake Fort Smith. It is finished and bottled in Fort Smith, Arkansas.

Blake is quoted in the announcement as saying, “I grew up in Ada, Oklahoma and was raised on the values of hard work, humility and an appreciation for the simple things that make up a good life. As part of the Smithworks family, I’ve been involved in the development of the brand and I’m excited for everyone to finally taste what we’ve been crafting. At its core, Smithworks celebrates that moments in life are better spent with good people and great drinks.”

You can find out more about Smithworks Vodka at the official website here.

Blake now joins Toby Keith’s Wild Shot Mezcal, Kenny Chesney’s Blue Chair Bay Rum and Zac Brown’s Z. Alexander Brown Wine as country music stars with their own brand of booze. Do you think we need an intervention after the next awards show for country music?

I guess we know what is in Blake’s cup now on The Voice each week.
