Thomas Rhett got an early Christmas present as his latest single “Die A Happy Man” is the #1 song in the nation this week.

The second single from his second studio album Tangled Up has reached the top of the Billboard Country Radio Airplay chart according to the advanced release of that chart.

“Die A Happy Man” follows the path of the debut single from the album “Crash And Burn” which also hit #1 for the singer-song writer.

This marks the fifth number one single in Thomas Rhett’s career and fifth consecutive chart topper for the Georgia native.

Thomas Rhett co-wrote the song for his wife Lauren. “My wife has been on me for years to write something for her like Tim McGraw‘s ‘Just to See You Smile,'” Thomas shares. “Obviously this isn’t exactly like that, but it’s my interpretation. It’s one hundred percent autobiographical of our relationship in a three-and-a-half minute ballad. It’s probably my favorite song I’ve ever written and it will be amazing to show our grand-kids the video one day.”

Lauren appears in the music video for “Die A Happy Man” by Thomas Rhett which you can see here.

Tangled Up is available everywhere now and would make a great present or stocking-stuff-er for that country music fan on your list.

Thomas Rhett will be here in Bloomington Saturday, January 16th and Sunday, January 17th when he comes to town with Jason Aldean‘s “We Were Here Tour” at US Cellular Coliseum along with the group A Thousand Horses.

Congratulations to Thomas Rhett on his number one single “Die A Happy Man.”
